Administrative Information

Evidence of Plan

Add resources to the course beyond the curriculum-provided materials in the course. Tell students what to expect for the module: concepts, activities, assignments, and assessments. Make connections to course SLOs.

Planning Instructional Strategies

Plan the delivery of a variety of activities to maximize class time and engage students in learning.

Formative Assessment Methods

Plan how to check for understanding. Plan how to assess and share progress with students.

Professional Experiences

Communicate and connect course content to real-world applications. Share professional examples and experiences with students. Provide opportunities for students to relate their life/professional experiences to the course content.

Evidence of Content Knowledge

Include existing and original content to support and enhance the curriculum. Content includes, but is not limited to: written lessons, linked or self-created videos, digital resources, discussion prompts and instructor responses, or creation of engagement activities.

Professional Communication (with students)

Communicate with students frequently and professionally. Use content-area language in engagement and feedback with students.

Classroom Environment

Create a positive and supportive learning environment. Ensure the class/course is organized. Plan and implement effective student-student engagement activities and opportunities for collaboration.

Instructor Presence and Engagement

Be present in the class/course by engaging with students and the class as a whole. Engagement could include, but is not limited to: availability to students (email, meetings), regular use of announcements, engaging with students in discussions, and monitoring engagement activities. Be present for all scheduled class meetings per delivery method requirements.

Supporting Diverse Ways of Knowing

Consider various learners' needs and adapt instruction as needed. Be aware of accessibility expectations and use flexibility where appropriate.

Implementing Instructional Strategies

Implement what is planned for delivering a variety of activities to maximize class time and engage students in learning. Implementing instruction strategies includes, but is not limited to: aligning strategies to course SLOs, adjusting strategies and assessments based on student performance and feedback, engaging students in learning that promotes critical thinking and advances learning, and integrating instructional technology purposefully.

Formative Assessment & Feedback

Implement what is planned for how to check for understanding. Implement what is planned for how to assess and share progress with students. Formative assessment and feedback includes, but is not limited to: checking for understanding throughout the class sessions, communicating and discussing results with students, providing opportunities for students to practice before showing mastery of the course content, and adjusting instruction based on formative assessment results.

Grades and Feedback

Utilize the course grading tools (inline grading features, rubrics, comments) to guide evaluation and individualized feedback that focuses on the assignment criteria, student progress, areas of strength, and ways for students to improve. Follow and model APA guidelines, where appropriate.

Holistic Data Review

Summarize student feedback and self-evaluation data for the biennial review.

Summarize key themes, strengths, and areas for improvement from student evaluations.

Summarize the faculty member's self-evaluation, including identified strengths and growth areas.

Targeted professional development pathways aligned to evaluation domains. Tracks are automatically recommended based on indicator ratings. Recommended tracks include specific CTE one-on-one coaching strategies.
